This new egg-focused eatery is taking on-the-go brunching to a whole new level

How do you like your eggs in the morning? Whether boiled or fried, you can guarantee the egg-sperts over at new K’ Road eatery, Egg And Spoon, have all your brunch cravings covered. They are serving up a cracking menu focusing on nothing other than the humble breakfast favourite, whether eaten in the yellow-and-white-esque interior or snatched as a quick bite on the go, mornings are about to get a hearty shake-up.

An idea hatched between Courtney MacKinnon and Ash Faithfull, their simple yet delicious menu covers everything from the cheesy scrambled egg burger — served up with caramelised onion, spinach and a slathering of spicy mayo — to the championed Egg And Spoon itself, a smokey tomato and capsicum shakshouka mix topped with a coddled egg and served alongside our childhood favourite, generously buttered soldiers. Even vegans are catered to in this with the BLAT, a BLT with a delectable herbivore twist — think coconut bacon layered with spinach, tomato, avocado and vegan aioli all wrapped up in a delicious brioche bun.

Egg And Spoon is set to reinvigorate your love for breakfast, making the early commute just that little bit brighter. We’ve checked the forecast and mornings are about to get sunny… side up.
