This August, Katsura at the Grand Millennium’s private Koshitsu Dining Room will play host to an intimate eight-course Japanese dinner that goes well beyond dining.
Each course explores a different aspect of Japanese cuisine and arrives with its own story, from the traditions that inspired it to the ingredients and techniques on the plate. The setting is intimate and social, with Katsura’s invitation kept refreshingly simple: come as strangers, leave as friends.
Every Friday and Saturday throughout the month, a group of just 10 guests will be guided through a culinary journey inspired by the traditions, artistry and precision of Japanese cuisine. Each course explores a different aspect of Japanese cuisine and arrives with its own story, from the dish’s inspiration to the ingredients and techniques on the plate.
Tickets are $159 per person, with two sittings each night. Seats are limited and expected to move quickly, so book sooner rather than later.
Katsura Omakase Experience runs every Friday & Saturday throughout August, with sittings at 5.30pm & 7.30pm at Koshitsu Dining Room Katsura, Grand Millennium, Auckland. Tickets are $159 per person.
