Introducing our 2017 Heroes: Dmitry Selitskiy

In New Zealand, thousands of people do not have the ability to communicate. Suffering at the hands of conditions like cerebral palsy, motor neuron disease and muscular dystrophy, they are left ‘locked in’. Dmitry Selitskiy’s nous aims to help. A thought-controlled software that allows these people to use their brain waves to interact through a computer, the almost unbelievable invention has the potential to give them back their voice.

Introducing our 2017 Heroes: Dr Angela Lim

At just 27-years-old, Dr Angela Lim is our youngest Hero. A doctor at Starship hospital, she sits on six healthcare and leadership boards, is a highly-demanded public speaker, honorary lecturer at Auckland University and, at the same time, is in the midst of launching Catalyst Point Limited, an online platform that holds the potential to drastically improve the methods of communication in medicine, globally.
