A hotly-contested category, this year’s Best for Brunch was almost too close to call — with a number of Auckland’s most popular cafes vying for top spot. In the end, Grey Lynn’s Honey Bones claimed the win for its well-balanced menu and lively vibe. Hot on its heels were Wynyard Quarter go-to Williams Eatery, Grey Lynn’s Ozone Coffee Roasters (long drawing the crowds with its specialty java and classic brunch dishes), Morningside’s neighbourhood favourite, Crave and Newmarket’s The Candy Shop, thanks to its unique take on the brunch we know and love.
