Beat the heat with one of these deliciously unexpected frozen margaritas

We’ve searched long and hard, but still haven’t found anywhere else we feel as comfortable both atoning for our sins and committing them at the same time as we do at Chapel Bar & Bistro. As such, this Ponsonby Road stalwart has been our go-to for quite some time. Fun, frivolous and a place of downright mischief, nowhere executes a knees-up quite like this lot, especially during the carefree summer months. It was on a recent, sun-drenched, aforementioned ‘knees-up’ in fact, that we discovered something groundbreaking. Chapel, it seems, does a bloody good frozen margarita — and we can guarantee they are like nothing you’ve tried before.

Thanks to an in-house frozen margarita machine, (thrown in with a bit of bartending expertise, of course), Chapel Bar & Bistro is serving up some seriously delicious, thirst-quenching libations. And you can forget everything you thought you knew about these icy drinks, because the iterations served up here aren’t your average tequila and lime, no sir. Expect a mouth-watering, rotating menu of margaritas-with-a-twist, a frozen blueberry iteration one day, or a passion fruit infused variation another.
