Tiffany & Co.’s HardWear collection has always had a rebellious streak. Inspired by a 1962 design, its industrial links and sculptural proportions capture the attitude of New York City. Now, the House is introducing an unexpected softness to its signature aesthetic, pairing 18-carat gold with vibrant turquoise and lustrous Akoya pearls in nine new creations.

The inspiration reaches further into Tiffany’s archives, to a historic lapis lazuli and pearl necklace famously worn by American style icon Rachel Lambert “Bunny” Mellon. Reinterpreted by Chief Artistic Officer Nathalie Verdeille, the design takes on a distinctly contemporary character, with a colour palette influenced by the Pop Art movement and the vibrant work of Andy Warhol.

At the centre of the collection is a striking 34-inch convertible necklace, its elongated gold links punctuated by alternating turquoise beads and Akoya pearls, each secured by delicate pyramid-shaped gold details. Designed to be worn long, doubled or separated into a necklace and bracelet, it is accompanied by matching drop earrings and a selection of more understated everyday pieces.

Worn by House ambassador Natalie Portman, the new creations demonstrate just how versatile HardWear’s distinctive design language has become. The contrast of saturated turquoise against polished gold feels particularly fresh, while the pearls lend a quieter elegance to a collection better known for its strength.
The new HardWear by Tiffany designs are available from October 2026, bringing a welcome dose of colour to one of the House’s most recognisable jewellery signatures.
