Auckland is a city best seen from above. The way the skyscrapers seem to tumble down into the Waitematā Harbour, ocean occupying half of the view, is truly something special. Our favourite way to really look down on it all, though, is with a drink in hand, and the Rooftop at QT Hotel is a shining spot for booze as good as the views. Extremely quaffable cocktails sit alongside a Mediterranean menu with dishes like chorizo and manchego croquettes, Kingfish crudo with caper, pomegranate and lemon oil, and big sprawling mezze.
