Ground Wine Bar was fundamentally born from a love of wine and, more specifically, a desire to share this love with others. Owners Alexs Rasputin and Kaiser Wilmar came into the industry from different angles — Rasputin from his time managing beverage programmes at bars and restaurants across Auckland, Wilmar from his time in global marketing and curation — but bonded over the joy of a great drop. This is the kind of bar to come to with preferences and an open mind, and leave with a thorough education and potentially a new favourite bottle.
