Mekong Baby
“Ponsonby's forever date-night with a Southeast Asian soul”

Mekong Baby’s menu draws heavily from Vietnamese cooking, with shaking beef, betel leaf wraps, and nuoc cham running through the DNA, while folding in influences from across Southeast Asia. The braised pork belly with caramelised chilli and the crispy lamb ribs have earned their reputations over years of consistent delivery. The cocktails are strong, the service has personality, and the room still hums on a Thursday night the way it has for years. More fusion than purist, but with enough Vietnamese heart to belong in this company. The fit-out blends exposed brick, graffiti-style art, and a moody bar area that makes the transition from dinner to drinks feel effortless.
