The Pie Piper opens the doors to its permanent city home

A new cafe educating us on the ins and outs of the dessert pie.

For some time now, The Pie Piper has been delighting Aucklanders with its deep dish American pie deliveries. A favourite for dinner parties, office shouts and bad days, the talented mother-daughter team behind the brand are now further indulging our desires with a brand new K’ Road cafe.

A world away from the sludgy mince ‘n’ cheese varieties that line the warmers of every Kiwi dairy, what we’re talking about here are overloaded sweet creations with rich, crumbly pastry cases. Salted-caramel apple, creamy banoffee, rich Mexican chocolate, pumpkin and cream pies to name but a few, the constantly-changing flavours line the cabinets of the diner-themed space, available in single slice or full pie form.

Also harbouring a smattering of OTT hand-rolled doughnuts (that you can read more about here) as well as classics like Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, fresh baked buttermilk biscuits and Southern fried chicken, The Pie Piper plays its ‘Murican theme to the last note. Available alongside fresh-brewed Atomic coffee, if you’re hankering for something sweet, you’d be a fool to pass it by.

Opening hours:
7am-6pm, Wednesday-Thursday
9am-8pm, Friday
7am-8pm, Saturday
7am-2pm, Sunday
