Raise a glass to Federal St’s $25 oyster-and-Champagne deal this January

There’s nothing quite like enjoying half a dozen oysters and a glass of effervescent Champagne in the summer sun, and this year, Federal St is the place to do just that. For the entire month of January, the restaurants along Federal St will be treating diners to half a dozen fresh New Zealand oysters and a glass of premium Champagne for only $25. And because this is a deal that you really don’t want to miss out on, we have all the details.

The Grill
The Grill will be running its oyster deal from 5pm until 9pm, every day over January. Indulge in half a dozen Coromandel oysters, served with shallot & red wine vinegar, olive oil, white balsamic and lemon and a crisp glass of Veuve Clicquot — perfect for those after a full-bodied flavour but not an overly-dominant drop.

Gusto at the Grand
In the lounge bar of Gusto at the Grand, diners are invited to enjoy half a dozen Coromandel oysters from 12pm until 3pm and 5pm until 9pm every day. Gusto’s oysters are finished simply with balsamic vinegar and fresh lemon, and can be enjoyed with a flute of Moët & Chandon Brut NV.

MASU by Nic Watt
With its reputation for serving delicious seafood, MASU is, of course, serving some of the best oysters this city has to offer. Adding a Japanese spin by incorporating chilli daikon, spring onion and ponzu dressing, MASU’s tasty morsels will be available from 12pm until 3pm and 5:30pm until 9pm, every day, and will be served with a glass of buttery, fruity and floral Perrier-Jouët. (MASU will be closed for lunch on the 6th and 7th of January.)

The Sugar Club
You can’t deny that oysters taste better with a view, and The Sugar Club undoubtedly provides one of the most prolific views in the city. Sit back and enjoy your half dozen fresh Coromandel oysters with yuzu & lemongrass foam, kaffir and finger lime and a flute of Moët & Chandon Brut NV. Available from Thursday to Sunday, from 12pm until 3pm from the 3rd of January, and every night from 5pm until 9pm.

This Spanish-inspired tapas bar is also celebrating oyster season in January, offering Coromandel oysters with smoked paprika and Cava and shallot dressing between 4pm and 9pm. Paired with a crisp flute of smooth and balanced Moët & Chandon Brut NV, the plump and juicy oysters are available from 3rd January for the whole month (aside from the 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th).

No matter what month of the year it is, a dining experience at Depot should always start with at least half a dozen oysters. In January, the renowned eatery will be serving its Coromandel oysters with shallot chardonnay vinegar and lemon, allowing the natural flavours to shine through and will be offering flutes of velvety Bollinger Champagne to accompany. From 3rd January, the raw bar is expected to be busier than ever with its $25 deal is up for grabs from 3pm until 5pm.
