Auckland’s newest ice cream pop-up will have you blowing smoke

With the glorious weather calling out to be accompanied by something cool and creamy, our latest obsession, a gelateria and sorbet source on wheels — also known as Nitro Cow — is one we’ll gladly be stalking in the coming weeks.

Using the theatrical powers of liquid nitrogen, the small but mighty trailer plays host to a slew of seriously smooth made-to-order creations, with flavours like Peanut Butter and Jelly, S’mores, Salted Caramel (and many more to come) making a tantalising appearance. But, by far, drawing in the crowds is the Instagram-worthy Nitro Cow rendition of Dragon’s Breath. The famed dessert calls for ice cream (or in this case, gelato) balls coated in liquid nitrogen that, when eaten, allow one to breathe ‘smoke’.

Sure to pop up wherever you might be enjoying the sunshine, you’d be wise to catch the delightful Nitro Cow creations at this Saturday’s Silo Park Market as well as the Night Noodle Markets happening from the 9th til the 12th of February 2017.
