Our local, talented event caterers and private chefs have had a rough time of late with parties severely restricted. MOST VOTED: Anthony Price, Private Fine Dining
Known for his signature, incredibly decadent sushi, sashimi, bento and lobster boxes, Anthony Price readily makes any get-together an instantly elevated affair. Both visually stunning and incredibly delicious, the boxes can easily be enjoyed during more restricted alert levels, and then for larger in-person events his interactive sushi and sashimi bars are unbeatable.
HONOURABLE MENTION: Catroux
Given how scrumptious the food is at this Westmere cafe, it’s no wonder its catering is some of the most popular in town. Providing a full-spectrum service with menus to suit breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea events, plus those more suited to canapés or even grande-salads, Catroux’s offering is wholesome yet hearty — and they also do weddings.
HONOURABLE MENTION: Hercules Noble
As profiled by Denizen, Hercules Noble has fast built a following for the socially-focused, open style of cooking he offers both as a private chef and at larger events. From his brilliant baking — sourdough with various flecks of flavour like dark chocolate orange or olive and rosemary is a particular signature — to crowd-pleasing sharing plates, Noble’s flavoursome fare is always snapped up eagerly.
