Life House by John Pawson

Award-winning architect John Paulson was commissioned by Living Architecture to create a retreat where serenity and restoration was at the forefront of the design. ‘Tyˆ Bywyd’, which translates to Life House, sleeps six and is located on the lower slopes of a small valley in Llanbister, near Llandrindod Wells in the middle of Wales. The retreat is influenced by Japanese design and the architecture of the Benedictine monks where every space exudes equal parts simplicity and tranquility.
