Take progressive dining to new heights with this unique Heletranz experience

It’s no secret that here at Denizen we’re strong supporters of the work hard, play hard lifestyle, and while we consider ourselves au fait with all things fine dining, quality imbibing and luxury travelling — even we couldn’t have come up with this one. Combining an awe-inspiring helicopter ride with an unforgettable feasting experience, the airborne specialists at Heletranz have given new meaning to the progressive dining experience.

The experience kicks off with a scenic journey across the Waitematā Harbour, where lucky high-flyers will depart the Heletranz Heliport* and soar across Rangitoto and the Motutapu Islands, before tracking the length of Waiheke to make a smooth landing at the Man O’ War vineyard’s beachfront tasting room. From here, the shenanigans begin with wine-tastings and shared platters, set against the inspiring rolling hillsides, sweeping coastlines and rugged cliffsides Waiheke is so famous for.

Upon leaving Man O’ War, your personal, on-hand driver will transfer you to the restaurant of your choice, for a two-course special at either Casita Miro Restaurant or Poderi Crisci Vineyard. Casita Miro, specialists in mouth-watering Spanish cuisine, will serve up the Chef’s ‘fiesta menu’ alongside a house wine match in the relaxed, social hub of the restaurant, while the culinarians at Poderi Crisci will deliver a pasta-laden luncheon and wine pairing, set within their amphitheatre-style dining area. Once satisfied, your driver will escort you to the final destination, Tantalus Estate where you can round off your experience within the speakeasy-like Alibi Brewer’s Lounge. Here, you can sip on espresso martinis and quench your sweet tooth with the dessert of the day.

Upon departure, guests can either return via ferry from Matiatia Wharf to downtown Auckland or, for those keen to relive the airborne experience, by helicopter back to Heletranz Heliport. Whether you’re kicking off the long weekend in style or opting for a mid-week excursion, Heletranz has collated all the essentials for the ultimate day of indulgence. Go ahead, you deserve it.

For the ferry return, prices per person are $595 based on a group of six, or $795 based on groups of four. For the helicopter return, prices per person are $795 based on groups of six, or $1060 based on groups of four. For more information, click here
