The first wave of fashion retailers for Commercial Bay has been announced

If you haven’t already heard about the Commercial Bay development underway in Downtown Auckland, it’s set to revolutionise the CBD’s retail and hospitality offering. With tidbits of information being released intermittently, this latest announcement speaks to the exciting new centre’s serious fashion cred.

Superette, Furla, Herschel Supply Co and Rodd & Gunn are each set to occupy a coveted Commercial Bay retail spot, with the latter creating a bespoke Lodge Bar and fashion concept store. The first foray into bricks and mortar retail in New Zealand for Italian brand Furla and Canadian favourite Hershel Supply Co, this development will represent significant growth for both international and local brands. As Superette founder Rickie Dee commented, “the Commercial Bay development is going to be a game changer for the Auckland CBD and Superette is really excited to be a part of it. With three existing Auckland stores in Newmarket, Ponsonby and Takapuna, we wanted a space that represented the Superette brand and this new project is going to be exactly that.”

With the high street retail giant, H&M, also locked in to use Commercial Bay as its flagship store destination, and the promise of many more brands to be announced, this is just the beginning.
