A lavishly appointed at-home bar on wheels – what more could the discerning bon vivant want?
You may not be a bartender, but you do like to entertain at home. A lot. So the arrival of a compact bar, one that could be opened and closed on whim, and moved around depending on the occasion, would make your hosting duties infinitely more enjoyable, would it not?
The Isidoro bar cabinet is the stuff a committed entertainer’s dreams are made of. Simply put, it’s a bar in a box, an utterly luxurious box at that. Designed by French architect extraordinaire Jean-Marie Massaud for Poltrona Frau, it’s clear why this Italian company is famed for their leather workmanship in furniture as well as luxury car interiors such as for Ferrari.
Crafted down to the last detail, every possible function is considered. Much like an oversized piece of designer luggage, the Isidoro bar, clad in soft saddle leather, opens like a book, with an easy to use click-to-close mechanism. The interior is fitted out with walnut shelving and shiny chrome accessories, and there are plenty of glass and bottle holders, not to mention a convenient folding shelf for prep to take place on. All one must do is stock it with all the essential top shelf liquors and you’re good to go. Shake up cocktails for party guests or alternatively make like Bond and fix yourself a stiff one after a hard day’s slog. The drinks will taste even better, and the kitchen will remain pristine. Welcome home, happy hour.
A Poltrona Frau shipment – including the Isidoro bar – has just arrived at local designer furniture showroom Matisse. If you’re interested in becoming the proud owner of one, simply contact the Matisse showroom.
