1. WINNER: Non Solo Pizza, Parnell
Since 1997, Parnell locals have flocked to Non Solo Pizza for its delicious Italian fare, convivial and welcoming atmosphere, and its ability to cater to any type of occasion. Whether you’re just in for an aperitivo and a snack, or a full-blown, sit-down family lunch or dinner with friends, NSP delivers on both great food and service and that personal recognition that makes it feel like a true neighbourhood gem. The recent renovation has only further endeared this eatery to the community, and no doubt contributed to it taking the top spot here.
2. HONOURABLE MENTION: Pasta & Cuore, Mt Eden
We’re always charmed by this Italian mainstay in Mt Eden village, and it turns out many of you feel the same. Pasta & Cuore’s made-from-scratch pasta hits the spot any day of the week, and the rustic yet cosy vibe means it’s welcoming for all.
3. HONOURABLE MENTION: Lilian, Grey Lynn
A year and a half-on from opening, it’s still a challenge to get a table at Lilian — a testament to its enthusiastic following within both Grey Lynn’s local community and those coming from further afield. With its menu of mouthwatering, Italian-inspired sharing plates, excellent cocktails and buzzy ambience, Lilian has solidified its position as a place to return to time and time again.
