a life changing serum
We road test the latest and greatest hair serum, all in the quest for shiny, healthy locks.
As you know, the Denizen is all about getting the inside word on the latest buzz. Insider knowledge tends to come with the affirmation that the product is really good – particularly when the source is someone credible.
That’s why my interest was piqued and my ears pricked up when I recently heard about a new life-changing hair capsule.
As Stephen Marr’s creative director, Lauren Gunn is a regular participant on the international Fashion Week circuit. While in New York for fashion week recently, Lauren noticed one of her fellow colleagues stealthily applying a peculiar-looking product to models’ hair before blasting it with the unrelenting heat of a hair dryer. The result: an unbelievably glossy blow dry in mere minutes.
When asked about the product, Lauren was presented with a packet with 15 small capsules encased inside – much like a pack of Coldral pills. The name of this miraculous new product? Snob Girls Bio-Serum.
Snob Girls have developed quite a cult following amongst the global fashion cognoscenti for its transformative abilities and ease of use. Plus, its stringent ban on over 40 nasty ingredients commonly found in hair products has further elevated its cult status amongst those who are after effective hair care that’s free of harsh chemicals.
Each tiny capsule contains enough ultra-light leave-in oil to seal, protect and preserve your hair, while its UVA-UVB protection shields your tresses from the harsh New Zealand sun. In addition to that, Snob Girls also reduces hair drying time by up to 50%, and it adds instant gloss and shine – perfect for keeping your locks looking lovely.
There are a wide variety of capsules on offer and each variant focuses on a specific need, so I opted for the Split Ends Elixir for my damaged hair. Application is super easy – just tear open one of the small capsules, squeeze it onto your fingers, then run your hands through your hair, paying more attention to the ends. Once that’s done, just dry and style your hair as usual.
I was instantly impressed by how soft, smooth and shiny my hair was, and anything that reduces my hair drying time in the morning is definitely a bonus!
Snob Girl serums are available from Stephen Marr salons and are $35 for a packet of 15 capsules.
