Sculptureum’s mid-winter feast is the perfect thing to warm your cockles

The perfect excuse to shake off the cold and brighten up your calendar.

While Matakana’s newest attraction, Sculptureum, might have entered the general consciousness for its art collection more than anything else, those who have already visited will be privy to its ‘other’ fabulous feature — Rothko. The suitably named, on-site eatery has been making waves for its impressionable cuisine, prepared by head chef Jarrod McGregor.

Specialising in superb seasonal fare, it is to our delight that the unique venue has announced a Mid-Winter Feast that will see an evening of exceptional food and wine enjoyed alongside a cockle-warming bonfire and general merry-making. Taking place at 7pm on Friday 28th July, the two-course family-style feasting menu will be enjoyed fireside with braziers fuelled by cuttings from Sculptureum and matched with the property’s own award-winning wine including Chardonnay, Syrah and Bordeaux Blend.

So whether or not you’ve had the pleasure of visiting this notable address, consider this the perfect excuse to shake off the cold and brighten up your calendar.

Tickets cost $95 per person and can be purchased here.
