Daniel Pearson, formally head chef at Bracu, will host yet another of his incredibly popular, pop-up dining experiences at the Monterey Coffee Lounge in Grey Lynn, Auckland. Having previously taken over the White Lady food truck and the Wine Vault as venues for his fine-dining events, Dan will be serving a four-course dinner, featuring ‘peasant’ cuts of meat, warm winter fare and matching craft beers. A trend that is seriously catching on in fine-dining circles, pop-up restaurants allow chefs to flex their considerable talents and creativity in short bursts, while diners get to enjoy the fruits of the their labour and the chance to experience a special evening at a restaurant that will be gone in the morning.
