Wild Wheat turns the humble sausage roll into an indulgent winter snack.

There is nothing quite like the aroma of roasted chestnuts, their smell wafting through many a bustling farmers’ market on cold winter mornings. A quintessential flavour of winter, we’ve recently come across the sweet delicate nut in our latest guilty pleasure. Artisan bakery Wild Wheat’s mouth watering chicken and chestnut sausage rolls are the stuff that warming comfort winter food is made of.

Enveloped in crisp buttery puff pastry, the sausage rolls include a delicious combination of roasted parsnips, swedes, fresh oregano and parsley as well as the stars of the show: free range rotisserie chicken and crumbly chestnut. Trust us, as far as winter snacks are concerned, it doesn’t get much more satiating than these puppies.
