Champagne Mumm’s mountain top pop-up bar is educating us on the art of après-ski

How does champagne served fireside on the slopes of Cardrona sound?

There can be little denying that we New Zealanders love to ski. A beloved pastime enjoyed by many, we have the stunning terrain and serious gusto for the winter sport. But one thing we have never quite grasped is the true concept of après-ski. Stepping up to educate us in the most glorious manner this season is Champagne Mumm’s Club de Neige.

Hosted in partnership with the 2017 Audi quattro Winter Games, the ‘snow club’ will sit right in the heart of the action, on the slopes of Cardrona and open for business on some of the biggest competition days. Inspired by some of the world’s finest après-ski parties, there will be an epic line-up of events, Champagne cocktails, cosy fires to warm up by (Champagne in-hand of course) and live entertainment from acts like Denizen’s favourite DJ duo, the Sweet Mix Kids. Rumour has it that one exceptionally talented team member will be demonstrating how to open a Champagne bottle with a ski — talent.

Designed to celebrate the fifth biennial Audi quattro Winter Games that will once again bring some of the finest Olympic, Paralympic and X Games athletes to NZ, you can see more on the high-energy event via Facebook, here. An exhilaratingly educational experience, we’re thanking Champagne Mumm for versing us on ‘the art of après’ this winter.

Champagne Mumm’s Club de Neige will open to coincide with some of the Audi quattro Winter Games’ biggest events on Sunday 27th August, Friday 1st September, Monday 4th September and Saturday 9th September.
