all aboard the sailors club

Sydney’s new harbourside restaurant makes it all too easy for us to imagine life as a 1960s sun-loving glamourpuss.

Surrounded by sparkling cerulean seas and bathed in the golden glow of Sydney’s sunny climate, The Sailors Club is a gorgeous new dining establishment that’s making waves in Sydney Harbour’s Rose Bay.

Formerly the iconic Pier restaurant, this eatery’s stunning makeover has had diners and industry insiders raving. The Pier’s expensive formality has been replaced with a more casual feel, and the bright, modern references to retro sailing aesthetic has imbued The Sailors Club with a 1960s Palm Springs chic.

Its cheerful simplicity is reflected in its menu – all items (breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks) are priced under $30 and the theme is comfort food all grown up, with a breezy, seaside twist. Think freshly grilled tuna burgers, toasted brioche, confit ocean trout; the type of food you crave when you haul yourself out of the ocean after a refreshing morning swim.

With the following they’ve gained since their opening barely a month ago, we can only imagine how their fan base will grow come summer. Fruity margaritas and strawberries while lounging in the sun? Yes please! This little harbourside gem is definitely on our summer hotspot radar.
