A doctor and spine surgeon, Dr John Ferguson returned to his favourite city Auckland in 2006 after refining his spinal surgery skills in the U.S.A. When he’s not performing life-changing surgery at Starship or Auckland hospital, he can be found enjoying the spoils of the Hauraki Gulf. A resident of Auckland’s Herne Bay, he is known to be a captivating host of many a soirée on his veranda that overlooks the harbour. He cites hope, odd books, odder music, fresh seafood, champagne and long lazy dinners as some of his favourite things, whilst road rage, waking in the dark and defeatism as pet hates.
