A new monthly market sees Tyler Street Garage play host to a scope of inspiring creative talent.

In a few short months, Britomart has fast become one of the city’s most bustling shopping meccas. What was once just a few destination shops dotted around the area has now transformed into a one stop precinct for all your weekend to do’s. To add to Britomart’s expanding repertoire, an all new Art and Design Market will be launched this Saturday 26th May – the first of an ongoing monthly creative partnership in association with the Ministry of Art and Design.

Taking place on the last Saturday of each month at Britomart, a plethora of new creative talents will be showcasing their work inside Tyler Street Garage. Everything from jewellery, ceramics, textiles, limited edition t-shirts, object art, prints, leather ware, and cushions can be found for sale – the perfect Saturday stop off to pick up some unique contemporary art and design. While you’re there, we recommend perusing the morning Farmers’ Markets (the handy $6 parking until 3pm makes this all too easy) for some fresh delicious fare to tie you over for the afternoon.
