the wonder wedge
The imagination of CoSTUME NATIONAL introduces us to this futuristic wedge.
Ennio Capasa of CoSTUME NATIONAL “ imagined a woman in a virtual metropolis”, when he designed this collection. A combination of “post-punk, post chic but above all technological”, the wedge resolves Capasa’s attempt to combine the punk inspired solid strong shape of the wedge and the technologically influenced black and white intricate lattice detail. The black and white leather exposes certain parts of the foot, adding femininity to soften the 14 cm solid wood wedge heel. A futuristic statement making shoe that we can see ourselves wearing both day and night.
