the jungle scent
Cult perfume and fashion house Comme Des Garçons releases their newest eau de parfum, Amazingreen.
Sporting an emerald green bottle, we had good reason to assume that the new eau de parfum unisex fragrance by Comme des Garçons would be a scent inspired by nature. Perfumer Jean Christophe Herault took his olfactory influence from a combination of the sap-filled fragrance of lentiscus (an aromatic shrub) and the smell of freshly renovated old houses. With a mixture of woody and musky notes, Comme des Garçons has eloquently likened its new Amazingreen scent to an “explosion of smoke and flint, that clashes with the green energy of the jungle and the effervescence of spices.” Indeed. We like the sound of lightly veiling ourselves in this intriguing scent and embracing our inner Tarzan.
